British Firework Championships and Paimpol Festival Sailing Holiday Spectacular
This fantastic sailing experience combines the best of classic heritage vessel sailing with explosive sky-shows, the fascinating Paimpol Maritime festival events and musical performers from around the world!
During this 8 night cruise you’ll enjoy a full evening of the most spectacular firework displays imaginable as more than four tonnes of fireworks are set off over Plymouth Sound. Then we will sail across channel (guests are invited to take part in voyage watches during this time) to take part in the spectacular Paimpol Maritime Festival which is a sight to behold with vessels taking part from around the world.
Freshly prepared meals, snacks plus hot & cold drinks are all included. Our Skipper and Crew will be onhand to ensure that you have a really memorable time.

We will welcome you aboard with refreshments before the usual safety briefings and boat tour to allow you to settle in and find your way around. Once everyone is ready we will set sail – and the adventure begins!
Leaving from Brixhams bustling Port we will sail for Plymouth to take prime position for the spectacular British Firework Championships -your vantage point will be the envy of all those watching on land! The next morning we will make passage across the channel to Paimpol where the bi-annual Maritime Festival will provide a treat for all the senses and an opportunity to see hundreds of beautiful sailing vessels from all over the world.

This spectacular sailing holiday starts in Brixham Devon which is Pilgrims home port having been originally built here in 1895. This picturesque coastal town has a rich and varied maritime history and continues to be a thriving fishing port landing and selling over £24 million of fish and shell fish every year! As you board, you will have an opportunity to see from the water wooden Heritage vessels, modern fishing trawlers, sailing yachts and motor boats out and about enjoying the water.
For our first night we may anchor on the River Dart as Dartmouth really does provide a lovely backdrop for a delicious onboard supper!
The next morning we will make our way to the big event in Plymouth! The British Firework Championships were started in 1997.After considering a number of venues around the UK, Plymouth became the favoured location as it provides a natural amphitheatre where large scale pyrotechnics could be used safely whilst being watched from a variety of points around the harbour and Sound, delighting visitors from around the world.
Once we have made passage across the Channel, Pilgrim will make her way around the beautiful coastline of Brittany
to take her place amongst the throng of heritage vessels that come together to celebrate the sea shanty and the international spirit of the sea at the Paimpol Maritime Festival.
Following the grande finale firework displays more coastal french sailing before the return leg back to brixham before you disembark with some fantastic memories and photos to share.
